Panelist Biographies
Zehra Naqvi is a Senior Investment Associate at Republic; speaking to founders is her favorite thing to do. At Republic Zehra also kickstarted Rise: Republic’s founder community, works on Republic’s diverse founder initiatives, and strategic partnerships with accelerators and VCs. She’s a 2x founder, a Columbia alum with a B.A. in Financial Economics & Art History, angel investor, and an experienced operator having worked at over 14 different startups. Ask Zehra all about how to fundraise efficiently or her art historian perspectives published at Yale and UChicago.
Tanvi Gupta is a Vice President at EQT Partners. Prior to EQT Partners, she worked in the M&A investment banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York. Tanvi holds a B.A. in Economics-Mathematics and Business Management from Columbia University. While at Columbia, she was actively involved in the CWBS community and Club Zamana. Post college, she is involved with various non-profits, including the Synergist Network (which she recommends anyone interested in a career in investing to look into).
Isabel von Stauffenberg is a Venture Capital Investor at Battery Ventures. She focuses on early- and growth-stage companies across sectors and focus areas within the firm, specifically on Application Software, Consumer, and Infrastructure Software. Prior to Battery, Isabel worked at Sycamore Partners as a summer private equity intern determining potential acquisition targets for the company. At Columbia, where she graduated from in 2021, she served as the CWBS Vice President.
